4. Products and Product Descriptions

DC Kitchen Store offers electronic products, kitchen appliances, kitchen accessories and related products.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, prices and other product information displayed on our website are accurate and up to date.

However, certain product information may be provided by manufacturers, suppliers or authorised distributors.

Product images are intended to represent the relevant product. Actual product appearance may vary slightly due to lighting, photography, display settings, packaging updates or manufacturer revisions.

Customers should review product specifications and descriptions carefully before placing an order.

Where a material error or discrepancy is identified, we will take reasonable steps to correct the information and communicate with affected customers where necessary.

Nothing in this section excludes a customer's rights relating to misleading descriptions, incorrect products or goods that do not comply with applicable consumer protection legislation.

5. Product Availability

All products displayed on our website are subject to availability.

Product listings do not constitute an unconditional guarantee that a product is available for immediate dispatch.

Availability may change due to:

  • Customer demand.

  • Supplier availability.

  • Inventory changes.

  • Manufacturing delays.

  • Discontinued product lines.

  • Other operational circumstances.

If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we will notify the customer and communicate the available options.

Where appropriate, these options may include:

  • Waiting for the product to become available.

  • Accepting an alternative product by mutual agreement.

  • Cancelling the order and receiving an applicable refund.

We will not substitute a different product without the customer's agreement.

6. Pricing and Currency

All prices displayed on our website are stated in South African Rand (ZAR), unless expressly indicated otherwise.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product prices are accurate and current.

Prices may change from time to time. However, a price change will not automatically alter the price of an order that has already been accepted.

The final amount payable will be displayed during checkout before the customer completes the purchase.

Any applicable charges, taxes or delivery costs will be disclosed before order confirmation.

Standard Shipping: DC Kitchen Store offers free standard shipping on eligible orders within South Africa, as described in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

Customers will not be charged undisclosed standard shipping fees after completing an eligible purchase.

6.1 Pricing Errors

If a genuine pricing or listing error occurs, we will take reasonable steps to address it in accordance with applicable law.

Where an order has been placed based on materially incorrect information, we will contact the customer and explain the available lawful options.

We will not rely on this provision to avoid an order or obligation where doing so would violate the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable law.

7. Orders and Order Confirmation

Customers may place orders through the checkout process available on our website.

When placing an order, customers must provide accurate information, including:

  • Full name.

  • Email address.

  • Contact telephone number.

  • Billing information, where required.

  • Delivery address.

  • Product selection and quantities.

  • Relevant payment information.

After submitting an order, the customer may receive an electronic order confirmation.

An automated confirmation acknowledges receipt of the order and does not necessarily constitute final acceptance of the transaction.

Order acceptance and processing remain subject to applicable payment verification, product availability and legal requirements.

Where we cannot fulfil an order, we will notify the customer and arrange an appropriate resolution.

8. Payment Terms

Payments must be completed through the payment methods made available during checkout.

Accepted payment methods may include bank cards, electronic payment methods or other supported payment services, depending on the payment facilities available at the time of purchase.

Customers confirm that they are authorised to use the selected payment method.

An order may not be processed until payment has been successfully authorised or confirmed.

DC Kitchen Store does not intentionally collect or store full payment card credentials through ordinary customer communication channels.

Payment processing may be handled by independent payment service providers subject to their applicable security and privacy procedures.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that payment details are accurate and that sufficient funds or available credit exist to complete the transaction.

Courier transit 3–6 business days
Total estimated delivery 4–8 business days

Standard Shipping Cost: FREE (R0.00) on eligible South African orders.

Delivery times may be affected by courier operations, public holidays, weather conditions, logistical disruptions and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Customers must provide a complete and accurate delivery address.

For further details, customers should review our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

The use of third-party couriers does not remove DC Kitchen Store's obligations as the seller under applicable South African law.

10. Returns and Refunds

DC Kitchen Store offers a 30-day voluntary return policy for eligible products.

Customers may request an eligible change-of-mind return within 30 calendar days after delivery, subject to the conditions described in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Our return commitments include:

  • 30-day eligible return period.

  • Free standard return shipping.

  • Refunds processed within 10 calendar days after receipt and assessment of returned goods, subject to applicable statutory deadlines.

Customers must contact our customer service team before returning products so that the appropriate return arrangements can be made.

Our voluntary return policy does not limit statutory consumer rights.

Where qualifying products are defective, unsafe or fail to meet applicable statutory standards, customers may have additional rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

Please refer to our separate Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy for complete details.

11. Order Cancellation

Customers who wish to cancel an order should contact DC Kitchen Store as soon as possible.

Where an order has not been dispatched, we will make reasonable efforts to process the cancellation.

Where an order has already been dispatched, the applicable return or cancellation procedures may apply.

Customers retain any cancellation rights available under South African law, including applicable rights under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

Nothing in these terms removes or restricts a consumer's statutory right to cancel an eligible electronic transaction.

12. Electronic Products and Kitchen Appliances

Products sold through DC Kitchen Store may include electrical appliances, electronic equipment, kitchen devices and related accessories.

Customers are responsible for following the manufacturer's instructions and using products for their intended purposes.

Where applicable, customers should:

  • Read the supplied operating instructions before use.

  • Follow relevant electrical safety instructions.

  • Use products in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

  • Avoid unauthorised modifications.

  • Use compatible accessories and components.

  • Follow appropriate installation and maintenance requirements.

DC Kitchen Store is not responsible for damage caused solely by improper use, negligence, unauthorised modification or use contrary to reasonable manufacturer instructions, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in this section excludes liability for defects, unsafe products or other matters for which the supplier is legally responsible.

13. Product Warranties and Consumer Rights

Products may be supplied with a manufacturer's warranty, depending on the product and manufacturer.

Manufacturer warranty terms may differ according to the product category.

Any applicable warranty information will be provided with the product or through the relevant manufacturer documentation.

In addition to any manufacturer's warranty, qualifying products are protected by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

13.1 Six-Month Implied Warranty

Under section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, qualifying goods carry an implied warranty of quality for six months after delivery.

Where goods fail to satisfy the applicable requirements of section 55 during this period, consumers may return the goods without penalty and at the supplier's risk and expense.

At the consumer's direction, the applicable remedy may include:

  • Repair.

  • Replacement.

  • Refund.

Additional rights may apply where a repaired product develops a further qualifying failure within three months after repair.

13.2 Manufacturer Warranty Does Not Replace Statutory Rights

A manufacturer's warranty does not replace, reduce or remove statutory consumer protections.

Customers may exercise their applicable legal rights regardless of whether a separate manufacturer warranty has expired.

14. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information.

  • Use valid payment methods.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of account credentials, where accounts are available.

  • Check order details before completing purchases.

Such materials may be protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Customers may access and use website content for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified or commercially exploited without appropriate authorisation, except where permitted by law.

Where consent is required, it will be obtained before sending marketing communications.

  • Statutory consumer rights.
